Ah, the way things were. Once upon a time we had milkmen that dropped our dairy off daily. Once upon a time we had mailmen who knew more about us than just our name and our apartment number. Once upon a time there were butchers and bakers and candlestick makers--we knew their names, they knew ours, and business was conducted in a way that made us feel like we were dealing with family friends.
